Athletic Therapy

Athletic Therapy starts with the in-depth knowledge, education and training in the areas of the human musculoskeletal system, exercise physiology, biomechanics, and basic emergency care.
A Certified Athletic Therapist as designated by CAT(C), has fulfilled academic and practical requirements set out by the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association. Certified members have successfully completed an extensive theory and practical exam set out by the national board. Successful members work in both the field and clinical settings.

Clinical Rehab

Our Certified Athletic Therapists work in the clinic with clients one-on-one for a variety or musculoskeletal issues.

  • Injury assessment and rehabilitation
  • Sport specific physical reconditioning
  • Therapeutic modalities (Ultrasound, Ice, Heat, TENS)
  • Manual mobilization
  • Supportive taping
  • Concussion assessment and Return to play

Field Coverage

Our Therapists are specialists in point of injury care.

  • Side line concussion testing

Dual Credentials

Many of our therapists are both Certified Athletic Therapists and Registered Massage Therapists. This means that you get the benefits of both styles and approaches to treatment. If you are interested in the cross over between the two professions, book in with one of our dual-credentialed therapists. Your appointment can be billed as either Massage Therapy or Athletic Therapy.
